LATE OTIENO’S STRIKE DENIES SOFAPAKA VICTORY

We played to a two all draw against visiting Kariobangi Sharks at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

Sharks opener

Nine minutes into play, Sharks took an early lead through Sydney Lokale whose powerful shot went past our keeper Isaiah Wakasala

Asieche’s equalizer

A quick encounter involving Asieche and Sammy Imbuye would see Patillah Omotto handling the ball in the penalty area. Asieche stepped up converting from the spot to level scores for us in the 40th minute.

Quick lead

Five minutes later another move to our opponents half resulted into our second goal of the match, Sammy Imbuye rose up heading in Titus Achesa’s cross past Brian Bwire in goal for Kariobangi Sharks.

Otieno’s equalizer

In a largely balanced second half, Kariobangi Sharks leveled scores in the 86th minute through substitute Patrick Otieno who headed in Patillah Omotto’s teasing corner kick delivery.
