2009 champions Sofapaka will host mailmen Posta Rangers on Saturday 18th December in round ten FKF-Premier League fixture.
Addressing the club’s media ahead of Saturday’s encounter, head coach Ken Odhiambo is keen on consistency following recent form whilst heaped praise on his assistant David Ouma.
On the teams good performance
I am glad with everyone in the club, especially the players for the good work and character they have shown. It has been a long while since we had such a good run of results, and this means a lot to us. It puts us on a good map with fellow title contenders.
On team preparations
We have had good preparation since I got back. The mood in the camp is fantastic, and the players are yearning for more. The confidence level is a good one for a team that is chasing for the championship.
On consistency
The team has been on some good run, picking ten points from a maximum of twelve, and that means a lot to us. We have the rhythm and we only want to maintain consistency in our matches.
On Rangers clash
The Saturday fixture against Rangers will be a tough encounter. They are on a good run too in the league, and this will offer us a proper test of our resilience. It is a home match, we respect our opponents, but we want to continue with the good run.
On Ouma’s impact
I am so delighted with my assistant Coach David Ouma for the good work he has done while I was away. He is experienced and so cooperative. Ouma has been supportive, we were in constant communication, and I am glad he did so well.
On his feelings being back with the team
It feels good to be back with the club, and I hope to experience more of the good results with the team. Odhiambo concluded.
