Sofapaka defender Willis Ouma has warned his teammates it will not be an easy afternoon when the team drops down to Awasi to take on his former side Chemelil Sugar on Saturday afternoon. Ouma who left Chemelil to join Sofapaka two seasons ago will be travelling back to his former employers for the second time.
“If we can manage to play the ball in their own half, that will be an advantage to us. Chemelil are a hard nut to crack in their own turf partly because they have a very expansive pitch and they are used to it. They will play the balls behind us and if we can deal with that it will be good for us,” the defender noted.
He added; “We are on a mission to finish the first leg up there and we can’t afford to lose points now. It will be a tough match but we are prepared to give our best.”
Ouma has been a started in the last two games after a slow start to the season and he hopes he can build on that over the next two games to fight for a regular starting place.
“It wasn’t easy being out for 14, 15 matches and to finally get that chance especially with how hard my year started, I can say I am more than proud. I want to build on this, build my confidence and play better to get a more regular place,” stated the defender.
