Players all Set as Baraza Takes Charge for Thika Game

Assistant coach, John Baraza, will be leading Sofapaka Football Club as the lads play host to Thika United in a Kenyan premier league game scheduled on Sunday, 6th August at Afraha stadium in Nakuru. Baraza will be taking control of the team in the absence of head coach Sam Ssimbwa, who left for Kampala (ahead of a family function) immediately after leading the team to a 2-3 win over Muhoroni Youth on Wednesday 2 August.

Baraza, who was an interim coach for Sofa in the latter stages of the last season, told sofapaka.co.ke, “I’m ready for the task ahead of me. It will not be the first time leading this team. Currently, the team is doing good and strong.”

He added, “Hillary Echesa has recovered and the other players are well. Even though we have little time to prepare for our next game (against Thika), all the players are set and mentally fit for the tie”. He added, “We played well against Muhoroni on Wednesday and our fans should expect a good game with Thika and probably a win.”
